Life expectancy is the expected number of years of your life that remain at a given age. It can be determined by a review of medical records, health issues, age, location, sex, etc.. There are numerous factors that help determine a life expectancy on an individual.

Don’t worry, life expectancies can change for the better, not always the worse. With the growth of medicine, wellness, and technology, people are living longer and staying healthier.

Life Expectancy Projection

A Life Expectancy Projection is usually created by a third party medical underwriter. We have seen these life expectancies used mainly for financial related products. Including, but not limited too, life settlements, life insurance, annuities, reverse mortgages, and other lending environments.

An individual projection may not be completed but you may be classified in general projection considering your age, sex, and health factors.

Some refer to this as mortality curve or mortality rates.
